For October's homework assignment on The Curious Professor Z, The Professor says to "show us what you love about this time of year." Hmm... It's hard to narrow it down. I love many things about this time of year.
I love to see the leaves change colors in autumn. Here in Colorado, they mostly turn gold. They are pretty...
but I prefer the riot of golds, yellows, oranges, and reds back east.
Usually, I love that the weather is getting cooler. This year, summer is hanging on tenaciously. Except for a couple of cooler days last week, temperatures are still climbing to around 80F/27C. Begone with you, heat!
No matter what the weather, I love the abundance of bat merchandise available at this time of year. Bat decals:
Bat fabrics:
Bat jewelry:
Bat kitchen goods such as salt and pepper shakers:
Bat shirts:
And because this is America... processed foods shaped like bats. :D
I love Autumn leaves! And I totally want to steal all that fabric! I wish we got bat shaped nuggets!
ReplyDeleteBat fabrics are my Kryptonite. I cannot resist them!
DeleteThese make me want to eat chicken nuggets!!! And I'm a vegetarian!!! And I didn't even like chicken before becoming a vegetarian! They seriously need bat-shaped tater tots! Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteOkay, that last picture completely distracted me... Thanks for that and for reminding me that our homework is due! Eek!
Bat-shaped tater tots! :D YES! (Are you listening, Ore-Ida?!)
DeleteI actually HAD to eat at McDonald's the other day so I could get a Hotel Transylvania talking toy in my Happy Meal. :P
ReplyDeleteOoh, Hotel Transylvania toys?! I wonder what percentage of Happy Meals are purchased by adults who have no child/have no intention of giving the toy to a child. :)
DeleteGreat now I'm going to have to order a Happy Meal without the meat on the bun and confuse them just to get a toy!
DeleteThe cooler weather and candy corn. <3
ReplyDeleteYes! :D
DeleteBats on the car, that is just too epic!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a collection of bat t-shirts you have! Can I live in your closet?
Ha ha! I do love bat t-shirts (and bat dresses and bat skirts...). :)
DeleteThe salt and pepper shakers are to die for! And then raise again as an immortal vampire, just to get more use out oof them... ;) I wish there was more bat shaped anything here in Germany! I will certainly check McD now, maybe Germany has the same toys?!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! "Would you like some vampiric salt or undead pepper with your meal today?" :D
DeleteHOLY SMOKES!!!! Are those really batty chicken tenders?!? I'm a sucker for Little Debbie cakes ... Swiss Rolls are my favorites. Where on earth did you find those t-shirts?!? And the batty salt and pepper shakers are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for participating! :)
Little Debbie is such a temptress! I love Swiss Rolls. :) The t-shirts came from Wal-Mart. I normally avoid the place but stop in every October to check the Halloween offerings. This year's selection of shirts was sort of disappointing - I got only the black one with silver bats.
DeleteHeee hee, I have also purchased a similar pair of bat earrings from you-know-where! I couldn't resist!
ReplyDeleteSame here, I couldn't resist! I ended up taking them apart and gluing the medium-size bats to my glasses. :D
DeleteWhere'd you get that black shirt with the silver bats printed on it? I've been looking for one.
ReplyDeleteWal-Mart. I got it this year; stores may still have some.
Deleteis that a bat lace fabric? gosh that is something they should have all year! beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a bat lace fabric. :) It's one of my favorites.
