My current style is practically garish compared to the not-too-distant past. For several years, I wore almost exclusively black. These were my wardrobes:
Today, for Black Friday, I am back in black.
Outfit details:
Lace top: Charlotte Russe
Velvet corset-style vest: Eternal Love
Lace gloves: Claire's
Velvet and lace skirt: The Black Rose
Boots: New Rock via Pennangalan
Hair clips: Claire's
Earrings and pendant: Party City
Lace choker: My remnant stash
Wow. You look absolutely fabulous! I really like what you did with your hair.
ReplyDeleteI was aiming for going all black today, but failed. I wear aquagreen leggings...
The velvet vest is so lovely.
Thank you! I'm usually very conservative with my hairstyle, and it was hard to convince myself that intentionally making it stick up and out in all directions might be a good idea. But I really like the result!
DeleteThe velvet vest is kind of special to me because it was one of the first things I bought when I started getting into goth 15+ years ago. I've worn it countless times!
Aaaah, you look so pretty! Loving the hair too. You really suit black!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Black always feels very comfortable for me. I suspect that my current, more colorful style is a phase, and I'll end up wearing mostly black again before too long. :)
DeleteYour hair! Wow, it fits you so much! Your whole outfit is gorgeous, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteI fell sick a couple of days ago, I'm having a severe headache and fever, so I'm afraid I have to skip the Black Friday dressup, but I'm drinking black tee...;)
Thank you! It occurred to me: Now that my hair is short, I can make it stick up! ;) It's not exactly Patricia Morrison, but it suits the classic velvet-and-lace goth look much better than my usual boring bob would.
DeleteSorry you are sick. :( I hope you feel better soon!
Your outfit is GORGEOUS! I wore all black today, but it was for work, so a bit too dull for my blog. I did, however, showcase a different all-black outfit. Well, apart from my purple hair. All the clothes and accessories are black, anyway. http://domesticatedgoth.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/black-friday-outfit_29.html
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love the outfit you showcased. Thanks for participating. :)
DeleteOh! You look absolutely gorgeous!!! I adore your hair like that ... So cute and spikey. I also have some color in my wardrobe, but that's because I've doing a more Gothabilly style (and I like a little color). While I would love to join in the fun, I'm sitting on my couch reading a book in my red pajamas. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Reading in red PJs sounds like the perfect post-Thanksgiving activity. :)
DeleteStunning gothy lady. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :D
DeleteWow! You look amazing! You should do that to your hair more often :-) And that outfit is just so well put together, well done :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I like the way my hair turned out; I'll definitely wear it like that again.
DeleteYou look gorgeous, that top and skirt go together so well that I thought they were one dress. I love the whole look, very much the classic style that first drew me to Gothic. I really want to find that outfit like that for myself sometime.
ReplyDeleteAlso I love what you did with your hair, this is the kind of thing I would have loved to do with my short hair. So perfect!
Thank you! The classic / romantigoth / tradgoth type styles are and probably always will be my favorites.
DeleteThanks! I have been wearing my hair in the same down-and-ironed-straight style for too long. It was past time for a change! :)
You look incredible. I love your hair, maybe next time I donate mine I'll have to try a look like this while it's short enough! I think I have too much hair again now. The outfit is awesome too, really really suits you. I love velvet and lace together =]
ReplyDeleteIt was so so cold here yesterday that my all black outfit ended up consisting of thermal leggings under black jeans, with a black t shirt and 2 black jumpers (plus black gloves and a black blanket whilst I was in the office), so it was really too boring to post =[
Thank you very much! I'll probably grow my hair out again at some point; in the meantime, it's fun to try new styles while it's shorter.
DeleteI am wearing something very much like that today. :)
LOVE the outfit, and LOVE the HAIR!!
ReplyDeleteI also wore all black on Friday as promised, with one slight aberration... my black t-shirt said "Celebrate Halloween Every Day" in orange and white letters and accents. I figured that would be okay... ;-)
Thank you so much!
DeleteDefinitely okay. :D
i love your hair! really looks great :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love your new “garish” look, but this outfit is stunning! Hair looks really good too, Bane! :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you on all counts! :D
DeleteYou look gorgeous! I love the big, Gothy hair!
ReplyDeleteI wore burgundy, pink, and black this past Friday. I rarely wear a solid black outfit these days. Funny!
Thank you! :D
DeleteI still wear black every day, but now it's usually with one other color or a print. Part of a style evolution, I suppose, which is not a bad thing. A bit of change keeps life interesting. :)
Awesome outfit!!! Love the makeup and hair as well, the overall effect is great! Very well coordinated!
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing outfit; perfect hair, perfect accessories-- you are stunning!
ReplyDeleteHehe, my wardrobe is almost exactly like yours-- mostly black =P
I love it.
Thank you very much!
DeleteAnd you never have to sort your laundry. ;)
your outfit is seriously so gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThank you!
